Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi....
Reading Ghalib these days...A Beautiful book " Love Sonnets of Ghalib". Could instantly connect to one of his famous couplets:
"Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi, ke har Khwaish pe dam nikle
Bahot nikle mere armaan, magar phir bhi kam nikle"
Roughly translated meaning (pardon my translation!!)
Thousands of such desires, each worth dying for...
many of them I have realized...yet I yearn for more...
One of the issues that is plaguing me these days is my unending search for, well... something more...This constant evaluation of life..where is it moving? is it good now? Was it good back then? Am i waiting for something? Why inspite of so much love & happiness, somewhere, somehow, something is missing... The pieces of this jigsaw are yet to fall in place.
Pushing myself hard, but still thinking kuch to baki hai..Maybe, just that little bit more and I shall be happy....
Hazaaron khwaishein aisi, unse jude hue hazaaron sapne,
thode sach hue, thode chur hue, thode sapne hi rah gaye...

Regenesis
Well, writing in a blog again after a realllllyyyy long period of time.... Many things have changed from the last time i had written, both on the personal & professional front..some gud & most others not...Well, I had somehow managed to put back the thoughts of the 'not so good ones' at the back of my mind, but today as I sit to write my first article, all the thoughts of the turbulations seem to have resurfaced.
Hmmm...really thought a lot, what my first blog entry should be really about. Decided to start this blog on a very positive note & hence the title "Regenesis"....
As my very first entry, sharing wth u all my all time fav poem, " The road not taken" by my fav poet Robert Frost. A lovely poem which is an extended metaphor of life...but the most unusual thing is that it has many interpretations. Every time i have read it, found a different interpretation to it, depending on the mood i was in.
The Road Not Taken
TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
